Functionalization

The surface functionalization of nanoparticles is a key step for their application and the control of colloidal stability. At the interface between the particles and the solvent, the grafting of specific organic molecules is often a complex operation. Complex for the realization of the attachment on the nanometric solid, complex for the purifications and finally for the characterizations too.

The company has developed exceptional expertise in hybrid nanomaterials. For more than 15 years, the teams have been involved in the Nano-Hybrids colloquium focused on this issue.

Nano-h is specialized in direct or indirect surface grafting, functionalization using polysiloxane, and functionalization of metallic nanoparticles (in particular nano-gold).

The control of the grafting steps is particularly monitored thanks to our granulo-zetameters (photo) and HPLC equipment, in particular HPLC-ICPMS for inorganic hybrid nanoparticles.
